Asus Eee PC X101 With MeeGo Available for Preorder

Asus Eee PC X101 MeeGo Netbook
Asus has announced plans to release netbooks in the cheap Eee PC product line X101. The cost is reduced by the use of modest specifications MeeGo Linux. If this is your thing, you can now pre-order the Eee PC X101, which will be available in September.

With fierce competition from Tablet PCs, netbooks need a way to be marketable, and in a way through the price. The Asus Eee PC X101 has previously been described as among the cheapest 10-inch netbook on the market at a price of $ 200 sub-levels. Although modest in the specifications, with the objective of reducing the X101 netbook to its roots - affordable, simple and easy to use devices.

The Asus EeePC X101 comes with a 10.1-inch screen and is powered by an Atom N435 1.33 GHz Intel low power processor. The netbook comes with 1GB of RAM and a nominally 8 GB SSD. You get 2-3 hours of battery from the 3-cell Li-Ion. However, these features are really small, but the ideal here is to keep the price down. Some markets have the possibility of a variant of Windows 7, the largest disk-based hard drive and a 6-cell battery, which will drive up the price a bit. But you get MeeGo with this variant at low prices, which is understandable given that Linux works better in machines with specifications like that.

Retailers are already pre-orders for the EeePC X101, and the prices are within the target level of $ 200.
