Escaping to cottage country

Aubrey and I escaped to the cottage for a day this week. Sometimes you just need to escape. My brain is swirling with work, and getting the Holiday 2011 collection designed (yes, I have to start this early) So a trip to the cottage was in order. There is something about driving through the countryside that calms me. (Above is a photo from the road that winds down to our cottage)
In my last post I showed you our finds from Coboconk (which is where my cottage is). A new antique shop opened up and we popped in. Although they weren't actually *open* as she was setting up for the long weekend, but let us in .... and was probably glad she did because we bought a LOT.

The owners told me stories of finding treasures in the dump ... yes, the dump. And they invited me to go and check it out for myself. At the thought of finding awesome treasures, I kindly told them I'd be more than happy to let them do the searching and I'd just pay them for their efforts! But can you believe that people throw out amazing things? Honestly, donate it. Don't throw it out. :(

Some treasures
Aubrey, Oscar and I did some adventuring this week that included some out of town treasure hunting. This little antique store in Coboconk, Ontario had a table full of the coolest wooden boxes at drool worthy prices (I bought almost all of them). I thought they would make some lovely gifts for a few people I know. Among a number of other things, I also picked up an old rolling pin that had the prettiest blue handle.

2012 Pagani Huayra
Elegant and muscular, the Pagani Huayra merges the past, present and future in a timeless interpretation of automotive art.The bi-xenon headlamps are just one of the many precious gifts from the Zonda R, and LED daytime running lights are seamlessly integrated in the elliptical shape of the design.
The rear bumper integrates with the diffuser and is dominated by an elliptical frame that surrounds the four central exhaust outlets, now becoming a characteristic Pagani element.

The automobile Lamborghini has released the first photographs of a limited edition Lamborghini Murciélago LP650-4 Roadster.
The Roadster version of the Murciélago will offer an uprated 6.5 litre V12 engine that produces 650 hp (478 kW) along with permanent four-wheel drive: hence the model's LP 650-4 moniker.
With 660 Nm of torque, top performance is at 0-100km/h (0-62mph) in 3.4 seconds. The top speed is around 330 Km/h (205mph).
The special edition model will be produced in a limited volume (50 units only), with a Grigio Telesto exterior that combines grey bodywork with a special bright orange Arancio LP 650-4 featured on the front spoiler and sills. The LP 650-4 logo applied to the car's exterior is recognition of the car's increased power. The car features orange brake calipers and a transparent V12-engine cover, which shows off the V12 engine behind the driver.
The interior features echo the car's striking grey-and-orange exterior: besides the orange touches, there is an asymmetric dash design, with black Alcantara Nera on the driver's side, including door panel and central tunnel, and black leather Nero Perseus on the passenger's side.
The increased power of the Murciélago engine, from 640 to 650 hp, will be unique to the Lamborghini Murciélago LP650-4 Roadster: it demonstrates even further the developments that Lamborghini is able to offer from a current engine, and creates the exclusive characteristic of the Lamborghini Murciélago LP650-4 Roadster.

Panduan Menginstal ADB
Apakah sobat sekalian sudah tahu apa itu ADB?
ADB atau dengan kata lain Android Debug Bridge adalah suatu alat yang memungkinkan kita berinteraksi dan mengontrol perangkat android kita melalui komputer. Dengan ADB kita bisa 'menerobos' lebih dalam batasan-batasan yang ada pada diri android.
OK, berikut caranya :
1. Install Android sdk manager disini. Pilih sesuai sistem operasi yang komputer anda gunakan.
2. Ekstrak android sdk, misalnya ke drive D seperti yang saya lakukan.
3. Buka folder tersebut, dan klik dua kali file SDK manager.exe
4. Pada installed package, beri tanda centang pada Android SDK Plartform-Tools. Selain itu reject. Klik install. Tunggu hingga prosesnya selesai.
5. Setelah selesai, klik close aja.
6. Pilih Setting. Beri tanda centang force.
7. Masuk ke available packages. Klik panah kecil third party Adds-on. Klik lagi panah kecil yang ada di google inc. adds on. Setelah itu beri tanda centang google usb driver package. Kemudian klik install selected.
8. Buka kembali folder android-sdk-windows - platform-tools, copy file :
9. Paste ketiga file tadi kedalam folder tools.
10. Selesai!!
Untuk melakukan cek apakah adb sudah aktif atau belum, lakukan beberapa hal berikut ini :
1. Tutup semua aplikasi (termasuk SDK Manager).
2. Pada hape android, pilih Settings - applications - Development, kemudian beri tanda centang USB debugging.
3. Hubungkan hape sobat kekomputer menggunakan usb. Biasanya akan muncul pilihan KIES dan UMS mode only, tidak usah pilih apa-apa, biarkan saja. Kemunculan icon android tersebut menandakan USB debugging lagi berjalan.
4. Apabila masih ingin memastikan, pada komputer jalankan Windows Run (tekan dan tahan tombol windows, kemudian tekan huruf R), ketik cmd, setelah itu tekan OK.

6. Ini tandanya apabila sudah berhasil.

Mengambil Screenshoot Layar si Robot Hijau
Kali ini akan saya sampaikan bagaimana cara mengambil screenshoot pada layar ponsel android manggunakan ADB. Sebenarnya ada cara yang lebih simple, yaitu menggunakan aplikasi. Tapi cara ini tidak pernah berhasil di android saya. Screenshoot gambar yang dihasilkan dari aplikasi tersebut selalu terlihat tidak jelas (rusak). Mungkin juga karena ponsel saya yang tidak kompetibel dengan aplikasi tersebut.
Ya sudah cukup sekian dulu basa-basinya. Let's begin Drods!!
1. Pertama, hape sobat sekalian harus sudah bisa melakukan debugging. Kalau belum bisa, silakan masuk kesini dulu.
2. Bila sudah, colokkan hape sobat ke komputer.
3. Masuk ke folder dimana sobat meletakkan android sdk manager. Disini saya menaruhnya di drive D dan bernama 'android-sdk-windows'. Masuk lagi ke folder tools, cari dan klik dua kali file ddms.bat. Maka akan muncul program Dalvik Debug Monitor.
4. Pilih perangkatmu.
5. Pilih Device - screen capture.
6. Klik save untuk menyimpan screenshoot, dan refresh untuk memuat ulang tampilan.
