From Choteau, rode 89 South to Great Falls. Typical of all my rides, I managed to find rain just before getting home. As you can see by my apparel, I was not well equipped to deal with foul weather riding. Lesson #4. You really don't know what you need until you need it. I started pawn shopping for leather and other creature comforts for riding.
One thing I did not mention early on was I not only wanted to see where the adventure would take me, but as cheaply as possible. Thus, pawn shops and thrift stores became a routine with every town I would pass through.
